Wahbi Khazri : "We worked a lot for evenings like this"
The number 10 of the Verts, Wahbi Khazri, emphasized his desire to play in the European Cup again.
What is your opinion on the beginning of your season?
Physically, I feel well. I don’t look for excuses, I know what I have to do more of. I also know that people expect much of me. I work so much, I need a benchmark game. The critics? I have enough experience to put up with them, I am aware that the beginning of my season has been an average one.
In what state of mind is the team tackling the match against Wolfsburg?
We wanted to earn points in Nîmes, any way we could. To play European Cup matches, we worked ourselves to the bone, we fought all last season. Right now, we have to look good at home, on our home turf.
What is your objective?
We have to win multiple matches, begin a positive streak. No one is giving up, everyone is concerned. It’s an exciting week, with the European Cup on our home turf then the Derby. In our situation, there isn’t one match more important than another. We have to give each of the matches our all and try to win them!
