Timothée Kolodziejczak: "There is no resason to doubt"
The ASSE defender intends to regain the taste of victory this Sunday, against Angers. A team from which he expects tough resistance in the Cauldron.
The Match Canceled in Nîmes
"It was a good decision to not play even if we could have known before the storm we had all day. We saw, during our return flight, that the rain had intensified. We thought of our fans, who made the trip for nothing. It wasn’t easy for them.”
Angers: the objective is victory
"We need the three points in order to remain at the top of the rankings. We’re where we should be, at the right place in the rankings, even if we could have one or two more points. Angers will have a strong defense. We’ll have to be patient, play fair, play a good technical game, find their weakness quickly. We have the skills to do just that. They played during the week and they were eliminated. We didn’t play in Nîmes, so we’ll maybe be a bit more prepared than them at the kick-off.”
The Verts have Two Faces
"We have good halves then we perform more poorly. We’re still irregular. Little by little, we’re finding ourselves. When we’re well-coordinated collectively, we’ll be able to give our all. Sometimes, we’re worse physically, sometimes we fall back. We really want to win and we give a lot of ourselves on the field. At certain moments, we could do things more intelligently.
In Nîmes, for example, we hit a snag. We fell back, we were countered, and we let in a goal. Then, we pulled ourselves back together, we had opportunities to win the game. We should have returned home victorious. We have to take points Sunday and against Reims, in a week. There’s no reason to doubt because we’re well placed in the rankings. There are some small adjustments to make. That’ll come with time. Sunday, we can reach a total of 20 points. Set the stadium on fire from the beginning of the game, creating openings to score and scoring several goals can help.
His Return to Ligue 1 Conforama
"In Spain, the game is more open, with more space, one-on-one. The teams who fight to maintain their status try to play, even in Camp Nou, even if they can easily let in six goals. In Germany, it’s a bit like in England, it’s more ‘box-to-box’. I came here to play as much as possible. Maybe not so fast as I am, but there were injuries and I had to play several matches in a row. I feel well. I hope that that’ll continue until the end of the season.
