The women's division was rewarded with the renewal of its Gold designation
The AS Saint-Étienne women's section, which has held the Gold Label since 2017, has had this mark of excellence—awarded by the FFF—extended through 2028.
Extended last year for three additional seasons (2025–2028), the Gold Label was officially awarded at the end of the 2025–2026 season to the women’s division of AS Saint-Étienne by Pascal Parent, President of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Football League and a member of the FFF Executive Committee, in the presence of numerous dignitaries.
This distinction, the highest awarded in this category by the national governing body, recognizes the high level of organization and quality established by ASSE to promote the development of women’s soccer. It reflects the commitment of the entire club and, in particular, the daily efforts of those involved in the women’s division. The criteria are based on the club’s organizational vision, educational program, athletic program, and training plan for managers and coaches.
These projects, presented in detail by Alexandre Edgard—the new director of the women’s soccer school who succeeded Sandy Guerin, who was once again honored during the ceremony—were warmly welcomed by the audience, which included Georges Ziegler, President of the Loire Department, Aline Mouseghian, Regional Councilor; Ali Rasfi, Deputy Mayor of Saint-Étienne in charge of active and sports initiatives; Yves Perrin, Vice President of AESIO Mutuelle; Clarisse Odent-Lanier, Communications Manager at Crédit Agricole Loire Haute-Loire; Annick Antony, Academic Director of the Tezenas du Montcel School Group; Thierry Delolme, President of the Loire District; Pierre Berthaud, Regional Technical Director; Valérie Riboulet, Regional Technical Advisor; William Vallas, Departmental Technical Advisor; and Yannick Chandioux, coach of the ASSE women’s professional team.
Following a photo session on the steps of Geoffroy-Guichard Stadium—symbolizing the awarding of the Gold Label—with ASSE Association President Jean-Marc Barsotti, the ceremony concluded with the presentation of equipment and apparel donated by the FFF and Crédit Agricole.
