The Loire Valley soccer festival will take place in Le Chaudron!
It's official: the match between ASSE and Ecotay-Moingt in the Coupe de France will be played at the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium on Saturday, November 29!
The draw for the Coupe de France had designated the winner of the Entente Nord Lozère - US Ecotay-Moignt match as the future opponent of AS Saint-Étienne, which had qualified at the expense of US Quetigny (3-1). Last Sunday, in a crazy scenario (4-4 in regulation time, then penalty kicks), it was Ecotay-Moingt (R3) from the Loire region who secured their place in the eighth round of the prestigious national competition.
After several hours of anticipation, the news that Ecotay players had been eagerly awaiting was officially announced by Loïc Perrin himself at the Dupuy-Drouot stadium, where they were preparing for their first training session since qualifying: the eighth round of the Coupe de France will indeed be played at France's most prestigious stadium, the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium!
On behalf of the club, the sporting director of AS Saint-Étienne joyfully announced that they would meet on Saturday, November 29, at the Chaudron, in front of the cameras of beIN Sports for a prime-time broadcast (8:30 p.m.).
All ticket information for this celebration of popular football in the Loire region will be announced on Wednesday.
