Robert Beric prolongs his adventure !

Stéphanpis since August 31st, 2015, Robert Beric is going to remain one of the Verts for the next three seasons. While his contract was going to end next June, the 27-year old Slovenian International (18 selections, 2 goals) has signed with AS Saint-Etienne until 2022.

The First Slovenian to don the ASSE jersey, Robert Beric made a remarkable debut. After a few minutes in the game against Montpellier September 12th, 2015 (1-0), he scored his first goal give days later, during a European Cup match against Rosenborg (2-2), the 100th in the club’s history. His first goal in Ligue 1 Conforama was scored immediately after, more precisely September 20th, against FC Nantes (2-0).

Seriously injured in November 2015, he saw his progressions slowed by a rupture of the cruciate ligaments of his right foot. May 14th, 2016, for the last match of the season, he once again took to the field of the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium against LOSC (0-1). The fans in the Cauldron gave him an exceptional ovation for his return to the competition.

At the end of his second season in Vert, he was loaned to Anderlecht, in Belgium, but made his return to the Forez five months later, in January 2018. Seventeen minutes into his first game in the Cualdron since returning, he once again found the path to the net and allowed the Verts to dominate Nîmes in the Coupe de France (2-0). Main player for the second half of the season, he scored 7 goals in 15 Ligue 1 Conforama matches.

This season, he scored 3 goals in the championship during 12 appearances and only 3 as a starting player. One week ago, he scored a goal and made a decisive assist during the victory against Strasbourg (2-1).

Throughout 87 appearances wearing the jersey of the Verts, Robert Beric has scored 27 goals.
