The Vert goalkeeper is ready to start 2018 with a lot of enthusiasm and wants his team to win against Nîmes, in Coupe de France, in order to gain confidence.
What are your thoughts about the week you have spent in Spain with the group ?
The Christmas break was good for us and the five days spent in Spain were very positive in order to prepare the competition and to have a good spirit. We really took this opportunity to regenerate our mind and our body. Everybody knows that the situation is complicated. If we all work together, we will make it. The games have to be won with the whole team. The only solution is to work hard.
Are you looking forward to play in Geoffroy-Guichard Stadium?
Our supporters know we need them. The situation doesn’t enable us to waste time and energy. We are lucky to play a Cup game before playing in the League, we have to enjoy this opportunity to gain confidence in our Stadium.
What memories do you keep of your last game against Guingamp ?
It was difficult to play with ten men on the pitch. But we showed great values which were missing in the last months : fighting spirit, commitment. But we were not lucky at the very end of the game… The new coach, Jean-Louis Gasset, has a lot of experience, he says the right words and knows how to handle complicated situations. He told us not to put too much pressure on ourselves. We were able to work with a very positive spirit during the whole week.
