Jean-Eudes Aholou : "There is good chemistry"

In what state of mind are you?

I am very happy to join ASSE. It’s a great club, ambitious and animated by an important, popular fervour. I felt a real desire to be recruited by Saint-Étienne. After making first contact this winter, the opportunity again presented itself this summer and it came to fruition. I am happy to have found my new teammates this week. I spoke with them and the coach, there’s good chemistry. Ghislain Printant expects me to help the team with my qualities as a defensive midfielder, it’s up to me to work well physically to be in top form.

What goals are you setting for yourself?

After a complicated season personally and collectively, I want to get even with myself. I want to regain my confidence, my level and some game time to help the team and have fun. Last season, for the first time in my career, I was injured for three months, it’s an experience that can only make me grow. I want to continue to learn and the European Cup matches are going to allow me to progress.

How do you feel physically?

I’m not yet in top form but my preparation is well advanced. Physically, I already feel well but it’s up to the coach to make his choice. For my part, I’m going to continue to work to quickly get back to 100%.
