Ina Kristoffersen is now a Saint-Étienne player!

Ina Kristoffersen (25), a Norwegian defender who previously played for Galatasaray, becomes Saint-Étienne's eleventh signing, joining Les Vertes from the Istanbul club.

Originally from Stavanger, on the southwestern coast of Norway, Ina Kristoffersen started playing soccer at the age of seven with the boys at Stavanger IF Fotball. At 15, she joined Viking FK, her hometown's iconic club, where she continued her training before moving on to Hinna FK, another local club renowned for its work with young female players.

In 2017, she joined Klepp IL, where she discovered the Toppserien, the elite of Norwegian women's football, helping the club to finish as Norwegian runners-up in 2018 and win the NM J19 Cup in the same year. After spells with Stabæk Fotball Kvinner, Amazon Grimstad, and Grand Bodø, she returned to Viking FK, where she found herself back on the pitches of her hometown.

In the winter of 2024, Ina Kristoffersen took a big step forward by joining Istanbul and Galatasaray, discovering the Turkish league. This transfer marked her first challenge outside Scandinavia. She quickly established herself as a key player in Istanbul's defense.

At the dawn of the 2025-2026 season, Ina Kristoffersen is preparing to discover the French championship in the Arkema Première Ligue. She will wear the number 4 jersey under Sébastien Joseph. Welcome, Ina!

Ina Kristoffersen: "I am very happy to join AS Saint-Étienne. After Norway and Turkey, this transfer to France represents an important step in my career. The French league is known for its high international standard and fierce competitiveness. I am really looking forward to testing myself there, meeting my new teammates, and settling into the club. I am eager to contribute both on and off the field and to continue to improve. This is a wonderful opportunity for me, and I am very grateful."

Sébastien Joseph, coach of Les Vertes: "Ina's arrival fills a need. We needed to strengthen our central defense. She is an athletic player, fast, good in the air, and clean in her passing. She ticks a lot of boxes, and we hope she will quickly adapt and integrate well into a new style of play and life. She's an athlete with an impeccable lifestyle who has prepared well. She's in good physical shape. We'll just have to help her catch up tactically with the players who have been here since the start of preseason."

Ina Kristoffersen's “Vert l'Avenir” commitment

As part of its “Vert l'Avenir” CSR initiative, AS Saint-Étienne is offering all its employees, including its players, the opportunity to commit to one of the four areas of focus of its ASSE Cœur-Vert association: Environment, Citizenship, Sport for All, and Health.

This season, Ina Kristoffersen will be participating in health-related initiatives.
