In December, AS Saint-Étienne shows its solidarity!
This December, AS Saint-Étienne and its association ASSE Cœur-Vert are once again rallying together to promote solidarity in the region. Collections, meetings, events, and moments of sharing punctuate this Solidarity December, serving all those who need comfort during this holiday season.
This December, a month marked by holiday celebrations, generosity, and sharing, AS Saint-Étienne, through its ASSE Cœur-Vert association, is strengthening its commitment to solidarity with those most in need. True to its values, the club is mobilizing throughout the month to bring comfort to those who need it most.
Through numerous initiatives across the region, players, staff, partners, and volunteers are joining forces to make this December a highlight of the season..
A busy December

An XXL blood donation already successfull
The 15th edition of the XXL Blood Donation, held at Le Chaudron on Thursday, December 4, brought together a large number of donors, including several AS Saint-Étienne employees, who were invited by the club to give their time for a good cause. Once again, the solidarity and mobilization of several hundred Saint-Étienne residents was evident, resulting in 349 donations. Enough to save many lives every day!
And a record food drive!

The Loire Food Bank's 2025 Collection set a new record with 169 tons collected, thanks to an exceptional mobilization effort in which the ASSE's Avenir group played an active role. This will provide lasting support to families and individuals in need in our department during the holiday season.
A successfull toy collected by employess... but not only !
Since preparations for the holiday season began, AS Saint-Étienne has been inviting all its employees and players to get involved in collecting used toys that are complete and in working order for children in need. New toys are also being collected to give to children in hospital, to bring them some joy during this very special time of year.
For the holidays, the Green Angels, residents of the South Stand, are also organizing a large charity collection. Toys, hygiene products, blankets, and duvets can be generously donated this Saturday before the Bastia match on the south forecourt.
A Christmas event of solidarity at Geoffroy-Guichard Stadium
The highlight of this month of solidarity, the ASSE Cœur-Vert Christmas Tree will offer a festive afternoon on Tuesday, December 16, for people in precarious situations. On the program: a Christmas show, distribution of gifts for children, snacks, and a hot meal, including soup from a competition recently organized at Le Renouveau.
A charity cooking contest
Florian Tardieu, Gautier Larsonneur, Alexandria Lamontagne, and Amandine Pierre-Louis recently took part in a charity cooking competition with students from Le Renouveau school. The challenge was to make the best soup possible using ingredients from a surprise basket. The winning soup will be prepared in large quantities and distributed to the most disadvantaged during the ASSE Cœur-Vert charity Christmas party at the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium.
Visits to elderly people with our partner AÉSIO
Because the holidays can also be synonymous with loneliness, several players visited the Résidence Mutualiste l’Embellie, a Saint-Étienne facility for the elderly run by our partner AÉSIO, to share a moment of conviviality at the end of the year.

Wheelchair soccer in the spotlight
This weekend, December 13 and 14, the ASSE Cœur-Vert AÉSIO mutuelle wheelchair soccer team, which plays in Division 1, will play its only home weekend of the season at the Gabriel Rouchon arena. This is a highlight of their season, which will showcase disabled sports and the values of a discipline that goes far beyond the playing field. Come along this Saturday and Sunday to cheer on Les Verts!
Green Christmas at Saint-Étienne University Hospital
The players will soon visit the pediatric wards at Saint-Étienne University Hospital to distribute Christmas gifts to hospitalized children. This will be an opportunity for them to meet young fans, as well as their caregivers, who are working during the holidays.
Solidarity game for Les Vertes
On December 20, during the Vertes' match against Dijon in the Arkema Première Ligue, a collection of stuffed animals and new and/or used gifts will be organized at the Salif-Keita stadium for children. This is another opportunity for fans to make a concrete commitment to those who need it most. Each generous fan will also be able to spin a wheel of fortune for a chance to win an ASSE prize.

AS Saint-Étienne committed beyond the playing fields
Throughout December, AS Saint-Étienne and ASSE Cœur-Vert are reminding us that soccer is much more than just a sport. Thanks to everyone's commitment, these initiatives are bringing a little happiness and hope to those who need it most.
Thank you to the Green Army for getting involved. And happy holidays to all!
