A frustrating result
The feeling is negative, because we obviously wanted the three points at home. We controlled the game, we took the initiative, but we didn't create enough. In the final thirty meters, for example, we were too static and didn't use the ball well enough. We needed to overload the defense and create waves of pressure to break down the opponent. Tonight, the players put in the energy, but couldn't find a way to break down a low block. We should have done much better when we had the initiative.
Aïmen Moueffek and Mahmoud Jaber prematurely leaving the pitch
It's difficult to set the pace we want when we have to change two players in the middle of the game. Aïmen Moueffek felt fatigue in his hamstring, so we had to be careful with him. Mahmoud Jaber was forced to leave the field with an injury after a tackle that clearly deserved a red card. The referee made a big mistake. Luan Gadegbeku and Nadir El Jamali made a good entrance, but it complicated things for us because making these changes was not our first choice. This change of plan meant we couldn't give Lucas Stassin and Augustine Boakye the playing time we wanted.
Declining offensive performance
Every game is different. Against Laval and Rodez, the game was more open. Since then, our opponents, for whom I have a lot of respect, have been defending energetically and with great defensive organization. We have to get used to that and find ways to break down these low blocks.
