A satisfactory first half

I have mixed feelings, as I often do. We got off to a difficult start with that early goal. But after that, we were able to play in the tight spaces and take control of the game. Apart from the last five minutes of the first half when we lost our organisation, it was a good first half against an opponent of this calibre.

A failed second act

In the second half, we came out confident, but we quickly lost control. We played a lot towards the back and relied too regularly on Gautier Larsonneur. We insisted on playing long balls, unlike in the first half, which created opportunities for Nice. We exposed ourselves a lot, especially down the wings. We weren't brave enough in denying ourselves the opportunity to play in tight spaces.

The first half showed us that by playing with each other and reducing the distance between the players, we were much better. This championship asks a lot of us. We can talk about a number of details that need improving, that's true, but for me, the most important thing is consistency. What we managed to do well at times, we didn't manage to show over 90 minutes. That's where we need to improve. We've got two very important games coming up. We're looking ahead to them. We have to go into these two games aware of the situation, but without fear.
