AS Saint-Étienne and hummel unveil the 2025-2026 home jersey with the Cité du design!
Committed to creating more than just a green jersey, AS Saint-Étienne and hummel, its equipment manufacturer, reveal, this Wednesday, the 2025-2026 home jersey, which features the Cité du design and the city's history.

After highlighting the 7 Collines (hills) that surround Saint-Étienne last season, ASSE and hummel are today unveiling the home shirt for the 25-26 season that pays homage to the Saint-Etienne region.
Designed by Saint-Etienne stylist Léa Bourgier in collaboration with the Cité du Design, which is currently hosting the final days of the 13th International Design Biennial, the shirt embodies the history, memory and identity of Saint-Etienne.
Five lines of pictograms created by studio vu-huu for the Cité du design's new graphic identity tell the story of a shared heritage on both sides of the jersey. From ribbon-making, Saint-Étienne's emblematic know-how, to the mine, a pillar of the collective history, via the buildings of the Cité du design, installed on the site of the former arms factory, transport and cycles, linked to the industrial history, as well as, of course, the star-studded club, all the strong markers of Saint-Étienne's identity adorn the front and back of the new Les Verts jersey.
The jersey also features a major innovation: white sleeves. Beyond the light and modern touch they bring, they show the architectural motifs of the Platine, the Cité du Design's emblematic building, transformed here into a link between history and creation by a graphic ribbon.
Link between industrial heritage and contemporary creation, the Cité du design is at the heart of Saint-Etienne's DNA, and will be proudly represented on the shoulders of the Verts, the Vertes and all their supporters this season.
Comprising a wide range of players, the Cité du design is currently undergoing a major transformation under the impetus of Saint-Étienne Métropole, to become France's leading design district, in the heart of France's only UNESCO Creative City. "For the Cité du design, being featured on the ASSE jersey is a unique opportunity to bring together two key elements of Saint-Etienne's identity: design and soccer! We're proud of this partnership with Les Verts, which highlights the new visual identity created for the Cité du design on a district-wide scale. The typography and pictograms are playful and cheerful, illustrating the creativity and diversity of this district, which is unique in France", emphasizes Marc Chassaubéné, vice-president of Saint-Étienne Métropole in charge of design, culture and digital, and president of the EPCC Cité du design-Ésad Saint-Étienne.
The typography created for the Cité du design's graphic identity, which expresses the aesthetics of the stroke, the spontaneity and dynamics of the gesture, will also be featured on AS Saint-Étienne's digital charter for the coming season.
True to its “Vert l'Avenir” CSR approach, the club is delighted that hummel, its equipment supplier, shares its commitment to the environment. As always with hummel, this new jersey is manufactured using special ECO8 technology. Each jersey is made from a high-performance polyester produced from eight recycled plastic bottles.
