AS Saint-Étienne and Eirik Horneland Mutually Agree to Part Ways
AS Saint-Étienne can today confirm that the club and Head Coach Eirik Horneland have mutually agreed to conclude their collaboration, effective Sunday, 1 February.
Eirik arrived during a pivotal era of deep transformation for Les Verts, and his influence stretched beyond the touchline and his 43 games leading the first team.
The club wishes to place on record its profound appreciation for the human qualities Eirik brought to the training ground every day. His integrity and the genuine warmth of the relationships he built across the club leave a positive mark on the institution

“It has been a real privilege to be at this club, it will stay with me for the rest of my life. I worked every day with a deep respect for what ASSE represents to this community. I want to thank the players for their commitment, the fans for their unique energy, the staff for their tireless support, and the leadership for the trust and support they showed in me. While my time here ends, I carry with me a great pride to have been the head coach. I will always remain a supporter of the club and wish Saint-Étienne every success in the future."
The club is now fully mobilized and focused on its upcoming sporting fixtures. A further update regarding the first-team coaching structure will be made in due course.
