A successful first social and solidarity run against student poverty!
The first edition of the social and solidarity run took place on Thursday in the streets of Saint-Étienne! Organized by ASSE in conjunction with the Professional Football League, which is dedicating the 8th day of Ligue 1 McDonald's and the 10th day of Ligue 2 BKT to students in precarious situations, this event proved to be a success!
In the early evening, nearly 250 people, many of whom proudly wore the colors of AS Saint-Étienne, gathered for a moment of sport, but above all of solidarity. From Place Jean-Jaurès to Geoffroy-Guichard Stadium, via the Cité du Design and Crêt-de-Roc, this run also showcased the city center of Saint-Étienne, in conjunction with the Steph' cultural label.
Dounia Aissou, head of Délivraide's Saint-Étienne branch, was delighted: "There were smiles, good humor, and generosity all around during this social and solidarity run. We were very moved to see the Green People mobilize to fight student poverty and rally around this cause that is so dear to us. A big thank you to ASSE for making this event possible, thank you also to Six Nations for hosting us, and above all, thank you to everyone who got involved!"
In exchange for their donation, each donor will be entered into a raffle to win an after-match experience or an autographed jersey.
